A Very Special Guest from FIWC

Our club just had a meeting last Friday, and we had a special guest from one of the NGOs in Japan called FIWC. All the Rotaractors in the room were very impressed by her presentation, getting to know about the organization and their volunteer activities across the world.

FIWC, stands for Friends International World Camp, is an NGO based in Japan established around 50 years ago. Members are organized by groups, and each group is assigned to plan and do the voluntieer activities at different countries in Asia. Their purpose is not to provide resources or financial support, but rather they work together with the civilians and support building/creating what they truely need.

 About FIWC (in Japanese)

The presenter's name was Ms. Mariko Ueda, and belongs to the group where they do their volunteer activities in Phillipines. She had shared with us her experience working with her team and the people at one of the villages in Sebu island.
